Dear City Pro Therapists,

CPG is pleased to announce the first of several agency trainings we are offering this fall. The training scheduled for November 11^th (Veteran’s Day) will provide an overview of Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders, an epidemic that continues to be misunderstood by families and professionals alike. The chief objective is to provide professionals a deeper understanding of the intricacies of the autism field so that they can better serve as an advocate/coach for families struggling with the disorder.

Topics will include but are not limited to:
a Defining autism spectrum disorders (ASD’s)
a Discussing different theories surrounding the disorders
a Exploring the commonly used assessments to diagnose the disorder
a Understanding problem behaviors and exploring strategies to decrease them
a Comparing different teaching philosophies that have been effective in treating ASD’s

This training is scheduled for:

Friday, November 11^th (Veteran’s Day) from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Brooklyn College Student Center’s Gold Room located at 2705 Campus Road, Brooklyn, New York, 11210 (Between 27^th Street and Campus Road).

The training will be held for 5 hours, subsequently offering 5 continuing education units (CEUs). An ABA training workshop certificate will be issued to all registrants within 4 weeks.

* Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to sign-in.
** Parking availability for drivers --Street parking and the garage at Target Mall (located on Nostrand Avenue and Ave H, which is approximately 2 blocks from the Student Center.)
